Helping people to lead longer, healthier lives

Our mission is to help people lead longer, healthier lives through innovative, affordable and scalable healthcare solutions that can transform treatments and drive stronger health systems, with a focus on those with the greatest need.

According to WHO

NCDs are responsible for 71 % of global deaths annually. According to WHO, 77% of all NCD deaths are in low- and middle-income countries and each year, more than 15 million people die from an NCD between the ages of 30 and 69 years; 85% of these “premature” deaths occur in low- and middle-income countries. Our mission

The COVID-19 pandemic has amplified the need to tackle rising rates of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), fragmented health systems and health inequalities. This requires a global effort and immediate action.

At George Health, we apply a single-minded focus on global equity of access to healthcare. This focus, our knowledge base and the world-leading capabilities of our three portfolio businesses, bring together the means and resources to help tackle the world’s biggest health challenges.

NCDs remain the world’s leading cause of premature death, disease, and disability, killing 41 million people globally. Even amid the devastation of the COVID-19 pandemic, ischemic heart disease, stroke, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)—all NCDs—represent the top three leading causes of death worldwide.

Our purpose-led strategy, focused on reducing the social, financial, and inequitable burden of NCDs, is aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal to reduce premature mortality from NCDs by 25% by 2030.
